I Remember

This morning started out like any normal Monday morning. My alarm went off earlier than I would have liked, I still missed breakfast and had no time to pack for lunch as I was preparing to leave for work. Everything about it seemed rushed. That was until I got in my car to get to work.

As I drove through town today and saw the streets lined with American flags, I could not help but feel a sense of pride and with it, a solemness. I thought about the privilege it is to live in America, and I thought about how we got here. We are so blessed to be living in this nation.

Thank you, to all who have served, and to the families of those who serve, and have served. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

We remember and salute you today.

There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13

Bless God, America.
