Full House Reunion

It seems like everyone (and when I say everyone I mean all the Dancing With the Stars fans) is talking about the “Full House” cast reunion at the performance for week 3 of dancing with the stars. Candace Cameron Bure is showing to be one of the most-loved contestants on the show this year. Full house is the show all the 90’s kids fell in love with and is still a favorite today!

While all this is going on, I’ve been reading through Acts, and my mind conjures a different kind of “Full House reunion”.

Acts 2:1-4 (NIV) says:

1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

There is such a power in community that I believe is often missed, and with that, also the power that is given by Holy Spirit. Acts 2 is a powerful example of this. What if we as the Body of Christ came together as it was in the beginning days for the early church? What if we lived as radically as they did?

I’m praying for a “Full House reunion”. That is the community – no matter what denomination – we are one in Christ, to be filled with Holy Spirit and living out the gospel. It says in Acts 2 that DAILY more were saved. We need  to get together, pray and expect a revival, and live out the gospel radically.

Will you join in prayer for a reunion of the church with community and the Holy Spirit to bring about a revival across this nation?
